City Creation Volume Two covers tons of techniques for generating buildings, layouts, roads, textures, and entire cities in cinema 4d. Learn to use mograph objects, effectors, and shaders to customize an entire city. This training requires a minimum version of R11.5 and the mograph (v2) module.

Although users with no previous cinema 4d knowledge should be able to follow along, a basic knowledge of the interface is suggested. To learn more about materials, UV maps, and basic polygon modeling in cinema 4d, city creation volume one is suggested as a prerequisite to volume 2. No previous mograph knowledge is needed to use this training product. Techniques and operations preformed with mograph are explained in-depth and increase in difficulty progressively throughout the training lessons. City Creation Volume 2 focuses on the creation of a modern city in seven parts, with additional generation and texturing techniques covered in two additional parts.

Dynamic Building Generation
Create a dual building cloner with variable and dynamic extrusions to control building height and scale. Setup building layouts and create extrusion sequences. Learn to use the Mograph Cloner object and Mograph effectors.
City Generation [Part 2]
Windows & Lights Generation Tool
In this lesson you will learn to quickly render out multi-use image sequences for the Mograph Multi-Shader. The tool used in the training is provided and allows the creation of variable window alpha and luminosity maps with the ability to keyframe seeds and other controls. The creation of custom user attribute panels using xpresso is also covered.
City Generation [Part 3]
Variable Texture Placement (multi-shader)
Use the images rendered from the previous lesson to create a single global window material. This material works for both day and night shots with each material setup shown in this lesson.

Frame Overlay & Color Variations
Explore additional techniques for placing textures and adding variable colors to buildings and clones.
City Generation [Part 5]
Baking Objects & Detail Clones
Improve scene response time and bake clones for use as, final objects, preview objects, and cloner control objects.

PolyFX & Extrusion Techniques
Learn to use PolyFX and shader effectors to create random or controlled polygon selections.

Creating Control Splines
Learn to use your buildings to create a spline that outlines the bottom of all structures. This spline can be used to create sidewalks, control traffic, crowds, place signs, or add vegetation. Also learn to create a spline outline of the tops of all buildings, so more detail and objects can be added and controlled.

City Layout Techniques
This lesson covers alternate techniques that can be used in place of the techniques shown in part one of the training. Learn to plan out cities with drawn splines and selection tags. Learn to control object detail, road placement, and city layouts.
3D Texture Modeling & Baking
Learn to use cinema 4d to model and render building textures. Take advantage of Mograph and cinema 4D's multi-pass output to create highly detailed textures.
