Increase the power of Vue with over 100 MetaNode tools and enhancements. Compatible with version 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, and 9.

Tools are accessible through the Function Editor right click menus. Or you can use the new Host node.

With the host node you can copy any node, or groups of nodes, and paste them into your functions or graphs.

What's a MetaNode?
A MetaNode (meta meaning greater, or larger than) is how Vue groups functions and graph setups into one controllable node. MetaNodes can range from a simple numeric entry to extremely advanced control setups. Everything you see in the function editor is node, a way to calculate and transmit data.

What's new in v2.0?

Version 2, now called snowFlaKe, adds 48 primary MetaNodes to the collection, more than doubling the collection. Setups and helpers have also been added, and are available for v1.5 users as well; however v1.5 users will not receive further updates to this node group.

snowFlake includes some very powerful tools to Vue, including:

Advanced Sphere Zone
Advanced Sphere Zone is a dynamic tool used to control a volumetric Number / Density / Altitude function output.
The “Zone” exists in material space, but is controlled by a sphere object. The scale and position of the sphere object are matched to the material. All x,y,z scales are independent, so a perfect match is possible.
Additional adjustments can also be made within the node, to scale smaller or larger than the controller object. The threshold and falloff of the zone can also be adjusted. By using the Zone Tuner, the sphere zone dependent, you can connect multiple functions to the same zone, and setup specific thresholds and falloffs per connection.
In the above rendered scene, Advanced Sphere Zone is used to control the subtraction of one fractal to another with a procedural terrain.
A mixed material's distribution is directly linked to the zone, controlling which material shows when the zone is intersecting with the terrain. You could expand on this scene by linking the density of an ecosystem layer to the zone. All these options can be animated by changing the size or position of the sphere. By using Advanced Sphere Zone with the “Dynamic Range Controller,” you can also animate any control within the node options.
